Help Needed w/Win98SE & USB Flash Drive

I've got a USB flash drive that works fine w/Win2K. I brought it home & after installing the vendor-recommended driver, the damn thing won't work. I've removed & reinstalled the driver more than a few times & still no go. Anyone got any ideas on what might be wrong, or a generic/universal driver I could use? Thanx!

I think I'm pretty much skrewed. I got the flash drive as a perk from a software vendor thru my work. The drive is imported, and thusly they can't provide me much, no, any tech support. The maker's documents gave me a URL from which to download a driver, but it hasn't worked so far on my 98SE box. I've tried to use the drive with and without the driver, but so far no luck. That's why I was hoping there might be a generic or universal driver I could use. I'm pretty much left to my own devices on how to troubleshoot & get it to work w/98SE - if I ever can

win 98

Win 98 had no usb support. That was fixed in w98se. BUT, You do need a driver from the flash drive maker. So yes if you can't get it you are screwed!

mondine is an unknown quantity at this point
Presumably, the question is sorted by now, since it was asked in 2004.
How about checking the dates, before replying in these ancient threads?
