Problems getting playstation 2 online

Just wondering if any of you guys know anything about troubleshooting PS2 networking. Here is my problem:

Today I bought a network for my (old style) PS2. I have it set up using my computer as a router. I am using a crossover cable and the guy on the phone said that was right.

This is how my network is set up:

I have tried everything that they suggested on the phone and some things I have thought of myself, but none have helped. I have tried switching off my firewall so I know it's not that.
Here are some screenshots to better illustrate the problem:

Thanks for your help!

Still no luck then, I'm sure somebody will no the answer as you have posted enough information on the problem.

Computer 'A' is just the computer that connects to the Internet, not a server.

I'm not sure about configuring the IP for the PS2

Thanks for that, but I have tried all of that. There tech support isn't very good, I think.

have you done this?

Quote:
Email the MAC Address to resnet@noc.sunysb.edu. You will receive a response with a confirmation after the Playstation machine is registered

Don't you have to do that after you connect?

UPDATE: After following these instructions, it now fails on the DNS test.
