Thumbs up What Determines Whether Data can be Recovered or Not?

While taking regular backup of data is a good idea, in many cases one can lose both the original as well as the backup data, as in the case of fire, theft, flood or corruption of the backup media. To service such cases, an entire data-recovery industry today exists which specialises in recovering your precious data from a variety of media like pen drives, hard disks, flash memory cards and mobile phones.

Online storage is a good way of keeping a backup of your work. There is quite a few trustable websites out there that offer a couple of GB free online storage.

You could save one copy on a hard disk at home and one online. This way, if your equipment was damaged due to fire, atleast you have a backup online.

Don't forget CD's

If you have a PC, usb Drive as your current backup.

Get a few Cdrw and burn your data to cd on a bi monthly basis and store that in your fireproof lockbox(Don't have a lockbox for all your important docs, then get one)

Cheers.
