I have great respect for Dell notebooks and their technical team when you need help. I own one and many of my friends own at least one. Many of these have the numbers worn off the keys and no one will consider trading them in. I hope you are as happy with your new notebook as I am with my Dell.

They are going to carry the 1501 in Wal-mart soon but you can do as well on their website.

Consumerreports said (in this order) HP, Toshiba, IBM, Acer

PC Mag put IBM on top, suggesting it BY MANY TIMES more "durable" than all others.

I have an ol' IBM A31 Thinkpad. Quite a workhorse, taken lots of bumps and drops over the years, still ticking strong.

I also have an HP from Jan 2006. Good lil' beastie.
