It all depends on your tastes and whether or not you have a high powered computer.

Low End Compy:
Warcraft III (Online or Offline) (RTS)
Starcraft (Online or Offline) (RTS)
Baldur's Gate I and II (Terrific RPG series, a great oldy)
Neverwinter Nights (Not terrific, but the map editor is very entertaining)
World of Warcraft (Big time online gaming, downside is it costs monthly)
Ragnarok Online (Find a private server or pay with the original servers, this game is definitely addictive and entertaining)

High End Compy:
Bio Shock (Definitely interesting, pretty graphics!)
Neverwinter Nights 2 (If you're a die hard RPG fan or like building games)
Starcraft 2 (Not sure if its out yet, but definitely looks good!)

which is better bioshock or halo3?

Halo 3 is great if you like playing with your friends and don't want a too complicated gameplay beyond just shooting up the enemy.

Bioshock is only singleplayer and you can't play with friends, however, the gameplay is far more complicated as you have to hack robots, genetically modify your character and fight in strange places the entire time.

Both have incredibly terrific graphics on the Xbox 360.

However, Bioshock is playable on the PC as well, and the graphics for that are dependant on your computers abilities.

Both are incredibly good games. Buy either of them, and I doubt you will be disappointed (that all depends on whether you like First Person Shooters as well! )

of course there is nothing hotter than half-life 2 when it comes to first person shooter games .
