Windows and Mac are pretty much different in interface, so if you're used to using one of the two OS and you'd like to switch to the other, make sure you're up to the task of mastering a whole new system.

One thing is that a lot of the programs that you can download here and there are made for Windows but these days, Mac versions are being produced to cater to the growing number of Mac users.

One edge that Mac has over Windows though is that there are no viruses whatsoever. So IF you're partial about security and computer safety, Mac's pretty much better than Windows (unless of course you're a computer security specialist).

I think the major feature that Mac has is that it won't get infected with any virus. On the other hand, there are more programs that you can install using Windows (thing is, Mac is catching up).

Nah, let the Mac do the catching up when the time comes that Mac's par with Windows then that's the time to decide again.

Compelling logic for Mac

Vista/Windows is an OS for the computer manufacturing industry which is in no way consumer-driven.

OS X / Mac is an OS for people who want the machine to work. It's not perfect, by any means, but it's way less hassle than ANY version of Windows.

After two decades of "growing up" with Macintosh computers, and using MS Windows along the way, I continue to convert friends and family to Mac OS X. None of them has ever expressed a wish to return to traditional PC operating systems like Vista or XP. Frequently they say something like, "Why did I wait so long to switch?"

If you want to read a summary of good logical reasons to consider switching from a PC, see:

Macintosh Basics

you mustn't ask this question. all new programmes are running on windows. and if you are not a professional user or you don't think to be a hacker, certainly you must use windows.
