typing problems in gmail

I am having problems when typing in gmail. Some characters are not being printed and have to be pressed twice, including the space bar. I have tried typing in word documents and there is no problem so that rules out keyboar problems. In fact typing in this forum is no problem either. Has anybody any suggestions? This is driving me nuts.

I'm having the same issue and am super frustrated. It started when I downloaded the ability to use the Gmal web cam. Please help me - I'm not going to use Gmail if this doesn't get resolved soon.

thanks for your reply - tonight i have just spent about an hour looking on gmail 'help' - eventually i came across 'help' - 'known issues' - and surprise there is a section on our problem. I also found many other people on other sections of help who have pasted the same problem - we are not alone!!

through all this it seems there are two options - log in through http://mail.google.com/mail - i had a go at this and it seemed to work. option 2 is to use Mozilla Firefox instead of IE7 - i had been using IE7 and when i swop'd over - again it was fine!

some people seem to say that its ok for a while like this but the problem returns - but maybe i have read too much and i am getting tired and that is incorrect - so i hope either of these options help you - and that we have our sanity back!! Angie

Thanks! I downloaded Firefox and it seems to be back to normal. YAY!
