Gmail and MSN messenger

I have recently set up a gmail account, and want to be able to use it for MSN, does anyone know how I can do that? Everytime I tried to sign in using it, it sed my password or username was incorrect.

I know it can be done, because some of my friends use their gmail accounts for MSN, but they are both on holiday!

If you’re using Windows Xp, you may have associated your old email as your default passport account to that user account.
