windows vista beta setup problems

i have downloaded a copy of windows vista beta but when i try to install it a get an error that asks me to send or not send a report.
i have downloaded a few coppies but it happens every time

how can i get past this

Are you installing an official beta from Microsoft’s TechNet or MSDN Website, I believe you are not because you say that you have downloaded various copies and also because you would have asked inside the newsgroups not here, even if we could help you, you have not given us enough info.

Maybe the site u downloaded from have some upload problems?
And, Vista is still in Beta version, so problems may accur...

That information/question was directed at my first post not you!

Pad what info does the error report give you?

it says:
stub loader for setup program has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are sorry for the incoveniance

and then it asks me to send an error report to microsoft and then gives me the option to send it or not

Easy solution, make sure you install it on a fresh partitioned drive also make sure your not opening the setup from inside the extracted files, you must mount the image onto a virtual cd-rom drive.

Sorry to say this but if you don’t know what that is then you shouldn’t even be installing longhorn.
