WindowsXP theme issue.
I believe this topic has been run over a lot of thimes (even here), because i found a similar topic (here) that refers to the same/or similar issue.
Uhm, yesterday i tried fixing up a nice look for machine at work, but a little problem accurred. The themes didn't work. Instead, the example screen showed this. (That is actually an edited image i just made on my home machine (this one doesn't have the problem, but keep on reading). I had this problem previously on my home computer aswell, but i did manage to find a fix for it quite fast. It was a little executable that up-dated some out-dated .dll (and i dont think it was uxtheme.dll that was updated), but it seems that i can't find this fix anymore, and nor do i remember it's name. It was a while ago i had this problem, and it has never bothered me again until now. If anyone recognizes what im talking about or has actually a clue on what i might be looking, please feel free to post a reply. (P.S. I have done/checked all the basic steps aswell. Checking if it uses the XP theme, enabling the service etc. etc. so don't bother with sending me to a page that tells me to just that. Thanks in advance to those who will actually help.) |
