Definitely, build your own.

You get exactly what you need (hardware and software), based on your expectations for work/play habits, as well as budget; without a lot of OEM fluff and crap that you may never use, or have to pay to renew or upgrade after you get used to using it.

I got the components of my computer all seperately at the computer shop, and of course they put it all in one piece.

ya, building computers is the only way to go, you pay at least 10% less than the maufacturers using the same parts, plus you know everything that going in it. And you can chose your own case. Its easy, I built mine when I was 13. Piece of cake

I sometimes buy them prebuilt because I don't have special hardwar needs (just software), and it's cheaper (when they have special deals).

I like mondine build them myself because you get exactly what you need for what you want, plus you get to customize it with tacky flashy lights!

Hehe ok maybe scrap the flashy lights but still I think it's better to build your own that is if you know what your doing though of course if you don’t know what your doing you could still have a go as I’ve found out myself that you learn more from trial and error.
