flashing ads that say, shoot whatever and you could win...

hey, does anyone know if any of those pop-ups and banner ads r for real? i mean they say you win..... or shoot this and win....... whats the deal?

Those ads lure you in and get you to buy stuff or take surveys and what not for somthing you supposedly get. I just use AdBlock to block them all.
