I know a little about php.I download a visual zend stdio server.It included apache,too.after that install php5 on your system(Use php installer.if your system doesn't have any php folder the path is the driver that contain windows folder,eg c:\php).Then install the visual zend stdio.Then to test that php is install write a simple code to show you all options.
<?php
phpinfo();
?>
And save this file on your web server folder(somefile.php).then just open a browser and type localhost\somefile.php .and if everything was OK you can see a table full of good information
A good documentaion is available on www.php.net . just download the manual and read it
This is the whole that I know.
