pc problems

Two weeks ago I ordered parts from Newegg to build a PC. The parts and setup are as follows:

Main Components:
Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit OS
HP 2159m 21.5" LCD Monitor
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 2.5 GHz CPU
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Fan
Intel DP45SG Dual Channel 1600/1333MHz Mobo
Sapphire HDMI Radeon HD 4830 512 MB 256-bit GDDR3 Video Card
Apevia X-Dreamer II Mid Tower Case w/4 Case fans
Rosewill RX850-D-B 850W Power Supply
A-Data (2 x 2 GB, 2 x 1 GB) 6 GB RAM (total) DDR3 1333 MHz Dual Channel
Western Digital Caviar Black 640 GB 7200 RPM 3.0 GB/S HDD
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 Channel
Edimax EW-7128G PCI Wireless Card

Extras:
Nippon Labs ICR-BB Card Reader
Samsung DVD Burner Black SATA Interface

The story begins when the computer starts up for the first time with no problems initially, using the Windows 7 RC OS. However, after installing all device drivers and software the computer begins to freeze. The freezing happens between 5-10 minutes of running any program. After using the boot disc and using the Windows Repair Computer option, I see that my video card driver has been removed, which made me initially think that, since Windows "Solved the problem," the problem must be with my video card. So then I download and install the latest driver for Windows from the manufacturers website (used Vista drivers for Windows 7).

When I started the computer the next day, the computer repeated the freeze process which occurred the previous night, except that now the wireless card driver was removed instead of the video card driver. I also tried to get the beta McAfee antivirus for Windows 7 to work, but it never fully worked (which I figured because both times the computer repaired itself the antivirus software was removed as well. I gave up on Windows 7 (which was not at all justified after the fact) and bought Vista Ultimate 64-bit.

A fellow PC enthusiast friend suspected that I have a bad motherboard, and told me to try removing the battery for a few minutes and starting over.
After wiping the HDD using the "Clean All" command in the command prompt, and creating an active ntfs filesystem formatted partition on my hard disk, I removed the battery for 10 minutes, installed Vista Ultimate 64-bit on the partition, and began installing software. Everything went so smooth, I was feeling very confident and also downloaded and installed Windows Updates.

The next morning I could not boot the OS. I had to boot from the Vista boot disk and repair my computer to get Windows to run. Once I got inside Windows, it worked well for 1-2 cycles of using the computer and shutting down. Then on a start up, I got the blue screen showing an error that the operating system can not run. So, I once again repaired the computer using the Windows Repair Computer option on the boot disk (I also noticed it took a lot longer than any previous repair), and when I finally got into Windows, all of my hardware drivers had been uninstalled.

Now, I have read that strange things could also be a result of a dying CMOS battery, so I checked earlier today and it was completely fine.
I have wiped the HDD again, created a partition, and installed Vista Ultimate again. The computer just froze again during boot, with only the OS installed on the computer.

If anyone can help, I am wondering if my friend is in fact correct, that I have a bad mobo and need to get it replaced ASAP, or what other potential issues may be the cause of my problems. Any help is greatly appreciated.
