Window not closing

I need help:
A window is not closing on my machine. I have tried the following:
- The cross icon
- Right clicking the taskbar button and choosing exit
- Control + Alt + Delete
- Log off

I could use DOS prompt and use:
'shutdown -f', but I don't like using dos incase I mess up the computer

What kind of window?
Is it just a window, or a program that won't close?

I've had trouble with the very same program before. It seems you've tried the best ways of closing it. When you press Control + Alt + Delete did the task manager appear. Were you able to "end task" from there. It will usually say the program is not responding at that point and you can kill it. If all else fails I would try Control + Alt + Delete twice in succession, causing it reboot for you. What operating system do you have? Which browser?

Adobe does some weird things sometimes.

It might help if you have a simple and efficient method to kill your connection, before trying to close the program.

Why can you not just restart your computer?

I didn't want to turn off my computer right at that moment in time so i didn't reset it. I eventually just used DOS.

if u kno the process name, u can try:
taskkill /F /T /IM <processname>
to kill the process..
same as killing from the task manager.. but not sure if the process is forcefully killed when u kill it from task manager..
for the command above, /F - Force, /T - Tree Kill, /IM - Image Name
[btw, u can use wildcards for image name ]

I already said: CTRL + ALT + DELETE did not work! The program was not listed on the Task Manager!
