General info questions!help?

Hi. Can someone please explain to me what "threads" are cuz everyone talks about them but I don't know what they are! Also can someone (probably darren) tell me how to get a pic under my signature? (not an avatar below my details) like darren has an ocean pic under his.
Please help....everyone!!!!

Yes, a thread is just another name for topic, or conversation.

As for putting an image in your signature, it's easy. First, you choose, or make an image. Then you host it somewhere.
I (and a lot of others) use the free service from Image Shack.

You browse to the image on your computer, click "Host it", and it automatically generates a code for you to hotlink (display) it in forums.

For example, the one I'm using now looks like:

[URL=http://imageshack.us][IMG]http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/173/gcnewyearsig1ux.gif[/IMG][/URL]

You paste the code into your signature on the profile setting page, and that's it.
