doubt about installing Win XP
hi all
i want to instal Win Xp om my PC however my harddisk is fully formated(having 4 partions) & there is no os in it. Also the win Xp CD which i have is non-bootable. Is it possible to install XP using this cd? PLz help me. I will be cery thankful. |

Well, yea, if you just got the install disk it's going to ask you to install it. Why would you have any doubt about installing it? Overall Windows is alright, it's just very bad in the security area and what not. Then if you don't like it, just format the harddisk again.

How do you have a non-bootable Windows XP CD? I thought they were all bootable. Anyway, you could use a different bootdisk or boot CD to boot the computer, and then run Setup on the WinXP CD-ROM. Bootdisks are available for download at bootdisk.com
