Yah it's like those guys said it's a very large area to be getting into. What exactly do you want? I can help you place your name on certain programs, register programs that you didn't purchase, make the Start button say something other than start....... All depends on what you want

A general start to registry editing would be type "regedit" in Run.

Not specifically how to open it.brThe first thing to learn, is that you do span style="font-style: italic;"not/span edit it if you don't know exactly what you're doing.brbrThe second thing, is to learn how "System Restore" works, before you do anything. img src="/richedit/smileys/Teasing/22.gif" border="0"

Edit the wrong thing in the registry and some things are going to stop working.....What exactly are you trying to do in the registry or do you just want a definition of what the registry really is?
