Networking question
Will a wireless network work on two home computers where one has Win98 and one has WinXP? If so, which one should be hooked up directly to service, or does it even matter?
Thank ahead of time! I'm rather new to networking and I'll probably need more help in the near future. I got a new computer last night but I want to keep my old dinosaur going yet too. |

I can't really help that much with your particular question, but I thought I'd say congratulations on your escape from the Stone Age of computing.
In the meantime, one of the best (and best-recommended) sites I've seen for how-to's and tutorials on the subject is http://www.practicallynetworked.com/ You should be able to get a lot of good practical information there. |

I second Lupine. And if you are trying to go wireless, just go get a Linksys Router, connect the XP machine wirelessly and use a straight-through cable for the 98 machine. If you have any questions let me know.
