From the info you've provided here's something that might help you out. Since the folder is invisible open go to the User name folder. Click Tools>Go to Folder Options>Click View>And then in the options below select Show hidden files and folders. Hopefully that will help you out some.

mondine is an unknown quantity at this point
I agree that the folder could have been 'hidden'. However, if you have already clicked "yes" to overwritebrit with an empty folder, you have probably wiped the previous contents out.

Hi Mondine

The back up folder has Favorites files, it's not
empty I must clarify.

Clicking on the Favorites button on the toolbar bring an empty drop down window onthe left hand side where the favorites files should be.

Looking in C:\Documents and Settings\User name
I don't see the Favorites folder with an icon star, making a search only bring up the favorite
folder "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users" and
a saved favorites folder in My Documents.

I don't know what else to try except perhaps a
reinstall of IE or Win xp. Mmmm doesn't look to
good.

Thank for replying.

Cheers
