Help needed with RAM issue!

span class="postbody"I got my pc about 2 months ago. Custom build it ran fine with the OS
brinstalled( XP pro sp2). But there is one problem. Whenever i start the
brpc (1st time) it shows 448MB RAM when you righ click on my computer,
brsame with when you go to about windows. It shows these 458,032
brKB. But when go to System Information, it shows in TOTAL PHYSICAL
brMEMORY- 512.00MB. Then when i restart the pc it shows the correct
brnumbers in about windows and my computer. I find this weird. Same
brwhen i enter setup in the bios when windows starts up for the first
brtime it TELLS me it has 448 MB RAM, then when i save settings and reset
brand go to the bios again it shows 512MB RAM. My friend suggested i
brstill got the onboard video option enabled on my motherboard. It
brcouldnt find an option like that.img src="richedit/smileys/Sad/3.gif" border="0" Others I asked others they dont have any IDEA!img src="richedit/smileysngry/2.gif" border="0" br
brbr
brHere are my system specs:br

brWindows XP Pro SP2( 32 bit)br
br1x 512 MB RAMbr

mondine is an unknown quantity at this point
For a definitive, and understandable audit of your system, I suggest you try the freeware program Belarc Advisor.
It will give you an exact report on your system.

cruocitae
Or you might have an onboard graphics card, which deducts some memory.. try turning it off.
