Help Fight High Gas Prices!
divA great idea is underway. Not a gimmick--no tricks--just a common sense way to use the free market system./divdiv/divdivEveryone should immediately stop buyinggas from EXXON and MOBIL stations (same company). When they see enough lost sales---they will have to drop their price to get customers back. Then other gas companies will have to do the same. A gas war will occur benefitting us all. No one has to spend an extra penny----just take a simple action. Similar consumer grass roots efforts worked with the airlines---it will work here too.Spread the word to you friends.....the more who participate, the faster prices get cut. Apathy by the public will result in $4.00 gasthis summer! brbrspan style="font-style: italic;"Edit: don't type your subject in all caps -admin/spanbr/divdiv/div

Well, these things never go anywhere, so it doesn't much matter.
But why would you think that boycotting one company would be beneficial, and why choose that particular company? |

I'll asume 'gas' is the same as what we refer to as petrol and diesel.
I don't think your plan will work. You'd need a lot of people to accomplish something like that. British Petroleum (BP) made £12 billion ( |

I think I can hear the oil company executives laughing over your plan...br
br If you really wanted to make a difference in gas prices, why don't you just light fire to a gas station? Not really, but i'm sure it would be more effective then having 50 people (i'm being generous) boycott the gas stations, which would only inturn ruin the gas stations business, as there are plenty of other stations that the oil companies can sell gas to. Why don't you just lobby for it? Contact your federal representative. Write letters. Protest in front of EXXONs & MOBIL main headquarters. Maybe even start a mob. img src="/richedit/smileys/Word_Other/12.gif" border="0" That's probably the only hope you have. People aren't going to stop driving vehicles. Gas is $3/gallon now in some states, and I don't see anymore cyclist or pedestrians. |

People need to realise that its economic times and world prices are what drive oil prices up. Yes granted that the big oil exectutives do have something to do with it as well but its not entirely there fault. This answer is neith liberal or conservative, its from a person who said ^&CK corporate media.
