Google TV Search

I can just feel it coming. Can anyone else? I think, because they wouldn't have any "catching up" to do in the market (due to it being relatively unpopulated at the moment), they could make a massive impact and it could be their next big venture.brbrI've been trying to work out how it could work. Perhaps, it could have two versions: one accessible from the web, where you can watch the shows etc., the other accessible as a simple "search page" from Internet TV services, like Sky, NTL etc.brbrAs well as the search, Google TV could be incorporated with the likes of google video; it could also have Google Calendar intergration; the Account could take your personalised listings to wherever you wanted. Wow, don't stop me. Just think of the possibilities (cliche, but it's true!)brbrDon't get me wrong, i'm not one of the span style="font-style: italic;""i care more about the future of Google, rather than the present"/span people. I just genuinely believe that TV Search and Organisation could be the foundations for transforming google from a company into a worldwide, and universally-accessible program.br

mondine is an unknown quantity at this point
It sounds like a natural to me. Almost surprising that it doesn't exist, already.
I can only guess that the Large Minds that come up with new projects don't spend a lot of time thinking about TV.

If nothing else, it's a great ad revenue source they're overlooking. Like a lot of people, I look at a site for online listing just about every day.
This one (zap2it.com) provides local listings according to service provider and area code,
and the grid links, by program, to individual interactive sites.
They also have links to program details, and basic search functions for programs, and program types- sports, movies, etc.
Seems like just the sort of thing Google could do. And probably do better.

Perhaps they will integrate it with their video search.
