Every relationship needs two things to work out: brains (mostly man) and feelings (moostly woman). In my humble opinion, I believe that a man is more rational than a woman and make decisions faster (sometimes). We wonder "what would happen if I...???" and act slower. A man wonders "what's gonna happen now that I've done that?" and sometimes regrets his rush when there is nothing else to be done. Men don't cry, women don't fight! Men can build empires, but a woman can twist them on her fingers! A man can never say FOR SURE that he's the father of a child. A woman does! I don't know who's smarter; anyway, both species are still alive, so creatures good enough to survive for thousands of years can't be that dumb, can they?

"moostly woman" is ment to be "mostly woman"!!

Anyway, I really don't have a clue who is smarter in general. There is a lot more to it than simply stating 'the man is smarter' or 'the woman is smarter'. And most important, not all man and all women are the same. One woman is smarter than the other woman, and the same goes for men.

I guess research and facts are needed here to show who is (in general) smarter

your profile shows us that you are a female,arent you,then why the unnecessary doubt and also,as far as i am concerned,it depends on the person,one might be intelligent and other one might not be,no one can ever exactly say who is smarter,maybe researchers can prove it,who knows.check out this.
i suppose this has good information,atleast as far as the iq part is concerned.
