You do realize...game ideas are a dime a dozen, even less, in the game industry...they've already got millions of ideas, they don't need yours.

Most certainly not. He can not be rude or 'mean' for being practical. These companies hold exquisite competitions like this for advertisement purposes and to entice people into buying their products; They don't need your "brilliant ideas". "Discussions" like this provoke intelligent thought, so open-mindedness and realistic perception are requirements. Merely because your idea may sound interesting, revolutionary or innovative does not guarantee the game's success in the market, which is their only concern.
