Proposition: One cannot live without a pc anymore.

Time for a discussion, in the form of a propostion! The proposition of today is:

"One cannot live without a pc anymore."

Has the last few decades developed so quickly that we cannot live without a computer anymore. Is it possible to live a full life and do your job without the pc? Do you need it? Would others need it?

Give me your opinion on this proposition!
And if you reply be sure to make it more than just a yes or no. That's what the poll is for, if you want to join this discussion give me some arguments

Don't forget the poll

I probably could live without my PC but I would barely cope, it seems to be that computers have integrated into are daily lives.

Ps. I voted I agree.

I agree. For me, I could not miss it. Computers are good for ppl that have no chance to make friends in real life, so actually i mean the internet, so that means I can't live without internet, I'm a total loser in real life so at least I got internet, you can hide your ugly face and still pretend you're cool, like me. Like in real life, I really like a girl, but I would probably fail if I would say it to her. So I don't. Luckily I can keep busy on Internet, bla bla bla, I agree.

Well i do agree that i cannot live without a PC.
I would have been sitting at home and doing nothing if PC wouldnt have been there. I Earn my living using a PC. Its an inseperable part of my life. I am also emotionally attched to my PC And wont allow anybody else to use it

I've started this proposition, now it is time to give my own opinion. I think people can still live without a pc. Personally in my own situation I need a computer for my work. But I could do without a computer in my personal life. It would be a huge change though, but I could live without it. I know several people who do not own a computer, who never have owned one and who will never own a computer in their lives (and they are between 20 and 30 years old). Without their computers they aren't missing anything I do have, so eventhough I would probably miss the internet, I would be able to life without it (besides work) perfectly fine. But I prefer using my computer anyway

I spend most of my time doing mundane tasks outdoors, so I enjoy the balance a computer adds to my life. I'm so serious at work as well, so it's enjoyable to relax on the internet talking/laughing and learning with friends.

I like this topic and to answer your question, I could live without a computer, but I would surely miss it until something could fill the void.

Laurent, I appreciate your candidness. That's the most sincere response that I've seen in this forum in a long while.

Dude66, this is not a contest to see if one could or could not live without a computer, it is something we call a discussion. Ever heard of it?

You claim you could easily do without a computer. Since this is a discussion and not a competition would mind giving us a little inside ifo. We cannot see what goes on in your mind. (sorry can't resist But seeing your posts, it is not an awfully lot. Feel free to change my mind about you by joining the discussing instead of calling everybody who is participating in the discussion sad.
