Making a successful website - free

I have been a cheapskate when making my website.

Most of the content was originally going to be made by my friend, who did make animations. This was in November, he is still on his first one. Now, I can't blame him for this, he will accept nothing less than perfect.

I bought the domain name [removed] because .co.uk is cheaper than .com and set it up with Joomla, I got busy making the content for the website, and am still making the content, I try to get visitors by advertising anywhere I can: in forum sigs,in comments to blogs, everywhere I go.

So, I have already paid about £6 for the domain for 2 years but no-one is visiting it, however hard I try. I'm now bored of sitting there waiting for someone to visit my site, so I make myself a blog, that's easy, make my dad a blog: also easy.

Now I'm really bored, I am now very active on SpreadFirefox.com, but no-one is clicking the link in my Signature.

I'm now getting involved in every forum on the net, and know that there is no way, not in a million years that my site might just surface in the millions of sites out there, the chances are much, much, much to small.
