Question to current/former military personell in Iraq
I noticed there are few of you guys over here, and was wondering...
Did you have any contact/conducted "work" with GROM unit? Basically whole knowledge about them is summed up in Wikipedia and this article, and while, if you did have contact with them, it's most likely informaion which can't be talked about very openly...but perhaps you can say what impressions you have about them. |

When we ported in Delta quad C(Qasar) As I understood since 2002. Our SEALs were challenged to training ops with a polish spec unit. Not sure if they were these GROM characters, they did serve with us in Basra and they carried on their backs the weight of our american CIA to help with special unit to provide protection. Don't know where, don't know how. But, we met them again in An Najaf again with SWCC, SEALs, and Delta units. When deployed to rutbar, about 32 spec guys tagged along for intell and recon purposes. Being the original batallion I believe that's why they came with us. Never actually got a chance to work with them. But I do know they do have a hand in the hostage takings in Karbala. If that helped at all, if not, my apologies.

Zima- I understand where you're coming from, but then again, you'll have to understand the military way of SF(special Forces) To obtain security clearance there is an extensive process so that NO LEAK OR BREACH would EVER HAPPEN. Especially to the common public. This is what Albatross is refering to. Basically we must try and steer clear of even speaking of anything that has to do with SF. And if any of that sounded offensive I apologize. |
