Gmail Web Clips

Just out of interest does anyone know how come you can only use the "Web Clips" bar when your default language is English US? I had to change from English UK to English US to be able to use the toolbar I mean English US & UK are almost the same right???

Because it's an american company and quite a lot of americans care about america and that's it. Not all americans but quite a lot.

Google just hasn't enabled Web Clips for English (UK) and the other languages. Its obviously difficult to do it in other languages, but I really don't understand why they haven't enabled it yet for English (UK).
