Spam filter feature doesn't work

I am trying to block spam I am getting all the time from a specific source. The problem is that when I activate the filter (and select "delete it" from the 5 options that Gmail gives you: Skip the box, Star it, Apply the label, Forward it to and Delete it) it doesn't work; I mean the spam ends up in my Inbox.

I think there is a bug in Gmail's system.

Any clues?

Have you tried selecting the e-mail message and clicking on Report Spam?

Yes I tried but still the spam gets through.

I don't understand. Maybe you could try contacting Google.

Yes this always happens with me. I have alot of my stuff that I reported spam still coming to inbox. I have a filling that it isnt working.

If you find that the 'automatic' settings aren't working well;
you may have to have a closer look at the spam you are getting,
find the basis on which they are disguising their spam, and find a common element
on which to base a better rule for your filter.

A spammer might disguise the subject line, or rotate between faked "from" addresses,
or other tricks to defeat the spam filters.
But you can usually find some element in the content of the message to filter on
for repeat spam mail.
