Gmail's Up Coming Feature

There are a few features being discovered by Bloggers and just want to share it here:

Firstof all, Gmail has added a "Delete all SPAM" and "Delete all Trash"function. Now you can delete all SPAM and trash without going throughevery page. Here is more from ZDNet:

The first feature is onethat lets users delete all their spam with a single click. Previously,to delete all your spam, you had to "select all", "delete", "selectall", "delete", etc. until you had gone through all the pages of yourspam. Now there will be a "Delete all spam" link that shouldsignificantly cut down on the time it would normally take.

Thesecond feature is actually listed in the suggestion form located in theHelp Center, called "Apply filter to old messages.". This feature itlong awaited and is very very useful I could say. You could now back-upyour emails and transfer emails from an old Gmail account to a new one.Here is more from ZDNet:

The second one that was justdiscovered today is the ability to create filters and apply them toexisting messages. For most people, when you create a filter it onlyacts on new messages that come in, but leaves old ones untouched. Thisfeature will help current users keep their mail organized, and give newusers some time to ease into their account without worrying aboutcreating filters right away. Google Operating System has a list ofthings you can do with this new feature.
