GMail Notifier
Hi,brbrI have a weird problem I haven't been able to figure out for an age. img src="/richedit/smileys/8.gif" border="0" brbrI use Gmail Notifier for two PCs, same gmail account. Both work fine. I hardly ever use both PCs at the same time. One is an Alienware and the other a Dell Inspiron, both Windows XP Pro with hardly anything on either, Office, Photoshop Elements and Open University software etc.brbrThe problem/query is that on one PC, on boot up, it just goes to the Windows desktop and the notifier is ready to rock in the systray and flags up any emails I have as it should. img src="/richedit/smileys/Happy/21.gif" border="0" brbrOn the other PC (AW) it also works fine, however, on bootup, this window pops up (below) and I have to click OK despite the remember psw box is checked. I know I know... no big deal. But it's irritating as on one PC it doesn't appear at all and on the other it does. It's obviously a Windows issue. Anyone know what the cause is? Both PCs are set up as one user account if that helps.brbrimg src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y80/MCesio/Gmailnotfier.jpg"brbrMany thanks for any help or advicebrbrimg src="/richedit/smileys/Happy/25.gif" border="0" br

Yes, an odd problem. I don't use it myself (I use a pop3 checker for
all my accounts), but I had a look around. Reviewing how many times the problems been posted in various places, it almost seems more odd that you don't have this happen on the one machine. I haven't seen any remedies, except for work-arounds like Gtalk (as you mention), or using the Firefox notifier extension, instead. Hopefully, someone that uses the program has an answer for you. |

This Gmail notifier problem is quite common.Close the notifier from the task-bar and then restart it.Log on once more and it will solve the problem. If you don't want to do this always try hibernating your computer.
