Potential Features I Would Like To See
1) HTML Support in the signature area. Alot of us have a images that contain signatures/company logos/etc, that other e-mail clients allow us to stick in there, but GMail does not provide this. With the 2+ gigs of storage, it shouldn't be a space issue. HTML Support in the signature area is practically a must.brbr2) Complete Removal of GTALK integration in the e-mail client. I love how Google is branching out in all sorts of directions with new software - but unless they want to design an OS, I really don't want Google everything, everywhere. I don't want links to my 'spreadsheets' 'calendar' 'google talk' etc, if I don't use these features. This complaint extends over to the new Google Desktop sidebar - I like it overall, but having two systray icons (using GTALK) and the optional portion on the taskbar - it's just too much. What happened to simplicity?br

I agree with you on the second point, there should be a choice for the user. Altho I will still have it all switched on myself.
I'm not so sure of the first one. I think people will start adding weird/annoying images again. I really like to send and receive clean e-mails. If you would really like to include HTML in this, I'd recommend to choose for the POP3 solution that Gmail offers. Nearly any e-mail client relying on POP3, supports HTML messages. |

HTML in the signature is actually possible, I just found out. You'll have to use Firefox with the Greasemonkey extension.
Install this userscript, and you'll get the possibility to add HTML in your signature, check your settings page after installing the script and restarting your browser. Didn't test it yet! |

Hm.. Can't edit my post.. But the link in there is not working, think this forum removes the word scr.ipt (without the dot ofcourse) to prevent scr.ipts from being executed. The correct link is:brbrhttp://userscr.ipts.org/scripts/show/3067brbr(Remove the dot in scr.ipt manually)br
