email signatures with colour

Hello,

I use colours on my gmail signatures but I have to add the colours that I want manually to each and every email that I send out. Is there any way to have my signature with the colours that I want automatically, so as soon as I cilck compose mail it how I wnat it?

Thanks

well i think its a default color.. why don't you try to save it first as draft before sending... it might work..

This is possible when you use HTML in your signatures. This is, however, not a standard Gmail feature. You can use this Greasemonkey script (Firefox and Greasemonkey extension required) to enable that option.

Thanks for your response. I did it and finally got it to work, thanks. I tried sending a test email from Safari Version 2.0.4 (419.3) and the signature came out with as the whole HTML text... real messy.

(i) Am I right in guessing that it will only work as long as I send the message from the firefox browser?

(ii) Or are there any other browsers that will accept HTML signatures?

(iii) What are the potential pitfalls of this new set up?

Thanks

It doesn't have to do with the browser, diffrent email services will not use html emails, correct me if i'm wrong, but any browser should read html

Here's the deal.

I set up the HTML signature for Gmail account using FireFox browser (with Greasemonkey).

Evertything works floorlessly in Gmail

When I send an email to myself and open it when using the safari browser its fine. The problem arises when I try to compose mail using safari. Then I just get the HTML code. My worries are, if I am out and I need to send mail and there is no Firefox, just IE or Safari.

Any ideas of possible work arounds?
