My own emails on a mailing list

Hi

I'm new to gmail, so I bet this question sounds really simplistic. I subscribe to a couple of mailing lists. I note that the default for gmail is to automatically put mails from me into the archive. I would rather they appeared in the inbox along with the rest of the mailing list emails. I have set up a filter to add a label and star my messages, but I'd rather they just stayed in the inbox until I archived them. Is there any way I can disable the auto archive, or does anyone have any suggestions for a more effective filter?

you can transfer all your messages to inbox.. theres an option for that...

Hey lesley1966,
I suggest you to check the settings of your mail account. I hope you will be able clarify after you check in with your Gmail Settings.you can find it there it self.

ok here's wht u can do, in your GMail go to settings just to the left of sign out.
in settings go to filters (4th option), there u will see the filter u have created. just edit it to check whether you have asked it to skip the inbox (archive it) option.
if that does'nt work who knows what will !

I have already made sure that option isn't ticked!

When you check the help pages, it says gmail will automatically archive your replies to mailing lists so that the inbox doesn't get cluttered. The thing is, I want to see my responses in the inbox, and I can't find a way round that.

Anybody got any ideas?
