How do I set up message rules

How would I set up message rules in gmail? I want to make it so if a message contains certain words, it will reply with a certain message. This is different than a vacation auto-reply. Please let me know how, or even if gmail can do it. If gmail can't do it, does anyone know a program that can do it?

I don't think gmail can do that... you really have to search for a program for that.. or maybe suggest it to gmail.. besides its still beta...

I might add: I don't think it will ever be possible.

Gmail is not for automated emails, SPAM and so on and so forth. It's just a tool for actual chatting, not for automated stuff. That's why you can't forward old emails ...
