iTunes' "ITPC" address not recognised in Gmail

Hello all. I use HTML signatures via the grease monkey extension in FF.

The signature previously contained:

an image linking to my web site
and an RSS2.0 feed for my blogs and podcasts

Which both worked fine. I need to add another link that will allow the user to subscribe to my show using iTunes in one click. It simply means swapping the "http" on the RSS 2.0 address for "itpc".

When I construct the new signature using the W3schools html editor, all seems fine i.e. hover the mouse over any linked elements and it changes from pointer to the expected finger.

I uploaded it to gmail. When I send emails to myself the pointer stays as a pointer when the mouse hovers over the iTunes link and does nothing when clicked. The other links work fine.

It seems gmail dosen't like the itpc pre-fix at all.

I'll leave a link from a podcast directory that generated the itpc stuff as well as a copy of the HTML code that I tried using:
