Gmail timing out

I am on a PC running Firefox v2.0.0.4 and everytime I goto to Gmail, it times out and gives the the message of

This seems to be taking longer than usual.

If you are using a slow Internet connection, you can wait a bit longer for this page to finish loading, or just use basic HTML view for now.

If you are using your normal Internet connection and you usually get past this loading step without any problems, please refresh this page in your browser. If you continue to have trouble loading your account, please visit the help center for troubleshooting information.

However, when I goto to Gmail in IE or in any browser on my Macintosh, it works perfectly.

This has only been happening for 2 days. I did not install any new software (except Firefox did an upgrade) and I do not have any viruses or spyware.

Ideas?

Nevermind, somebody on the Mozilla forums had the answer. Standard solution too. I should have thought of it myself.

Clear the cache
Delete the Google cookies

D'Oh!

Heh, I was about to suggest the same, but you've done it yourself.
Usually, If something's not working, I always clear the cache and it helps.

I should have known that too. Sheesh! 15+ years of pc tech support under my belt and I missed this one! Frustrating. I can always fix somebody elses computer, but never mine.

Smile

LOL: That's true. Usually there's always - "naaaa, this can wait".
Last time I said that and did not make backups of the data on my pc and after resizing partition, I've lost entire 40GB HDD along with my projects in it...
From that time, I take care of my PC.
