It's probably just a little server problem or something. Normally it should be solved soon i guess.

I can't get to the gmail log in page

I started using gmail a few weeks ago. For two weeks I had no problems accessing my gmail. Starting Sunday though, I have been unable to get to the gmail log in page. Is anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks.

I can log in from my new machine, but not my old one. Both Firefox and IE give me blank pages. IE gives me an error: line 13, expected ']' not found.

Both flash a message connecting to 127.0.0.1.

I thought it might be the Kerio firewall, but it happens with that turned off.

Ahah! I tried typing https: in front of the URL and now my gmail shows up.

It seems to make no difference whether I am using gmail.google.com or google.gmail.com/gmail.

On my old machine, http works fine. Any thoughts from anyone on why this would be so.

Works the same on IE and Firefox.

My Gmail has been down for two days

My gmail account (I only have one) has been down for more than 48 hours now, and I'm really getting worried because this is my primary account and have some crucial info stored there.

Anybody any ideas on what to do? I've cleared the cache, tried multiple browsers, even tried the POP3 which has never worked for me via Outlook Express, all to no avail. I've emailed the support and maintenance staff at gmail and also reported it as a bug on gmail help, but I still get the "server error" after I log on. It "redirects" for several seconds, and gives me:
Gmail is temporarily unavailable. Cross your fingers and try again in a few minutes. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

This is extremely frustrating, so any tips would be appreciated.

Having the same problem - have not been able to log in

Same problem here....have done everything GMail Help says to do: I've cleared the cache, tried multiple browsers, changed Zone Alarm, disabled Zone Alarm, etc etc, all to no avail.

Previously I received some help which did work for a few days: using https://gmail.google.com

Now that does not work.

What else is there to do?

This is extremely frustrating, so any tips would be appreciated.

AnyBody from Google GMail listening to this annoyance?

AnyBody from Google GMail listening to this annoyance? I was about to cancel all my other accounts in Yahoo, etc....Now...I don't know.

I need to enter in my Gmail Account to change some settings such as forwarding e-mails and have not been able to do that.

I found a workaround

Not very efficient, but at least it allows me to go into the account:

Click Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab and uncheck the >>
[]enable third party browser extensions (requires restart) >> OK >> Close IE; >> restart IE >> go to GMail and log in. It works.

Remember to reverse this temporal setting if you want to be able to use other toolbars or other SW that uses IE.
