Gmail POP pick up question

OK here goes !

I have my Gmail account picking up my POP mail.
I'm using gmail on my cell phone to see my Gmail account and the POP mail it pick up.

I have it leaving a copy on the server as some of the email I do not want to delete and still want a copy in my home Outlook and I use IMAP at home. I want to have my email every where I go on the road , cell phone and at home.

Here is my problem, If I delete the message from my outlook it will not delete off my gmail account. I was thinking if it was deleted off the server it would delete off GMAIL , but gmail does not update


Has anyone found away around this?

Unfortunately, you have to delete it manually: the only alternative would be to set your POP server to delete all messages older than x days when checking e-mail (that's what I do, after 5 days, for much the same reason).

I think when you select " keep gmails copy in the inbox" from settings
that means you will have a copy for every message you received to outlook at your gmail account, and because those messages are a copy not the mirror you must delete those messages from both gmail and outlook

you can select in setting " archive gmails copy"
