Happy Birthday Gmail

I was going to post this as a reply to a topic, but I thought it deserves its separte topic.

Gmail is now 1 year old, hip hip hurray.

And one of there new features to gmail is
Gmail Infinity+1, hehe look at my inbox space it just keeeps getting better:
You are currently using 3 MB (0%) of your 1109 MB

A Google approach to math.
On the eve of Gmail's one-year birthday, our engineers were toiling away furiously. Notes scribbled all over the walls. Complex calculations on napkins and empty pizza boxes. Millions of M&Ms.

The result?... starting today, we're beginning the roll-out of our new and top secret Infinity+1 storage plan. The key features are:

Write, don't worry.
You want to stop caring about storage. We want to keep giving you more. Today, and beyond.

The gift that keeps on giving.
1108.534823 megabytes of storage (and counting) for every user.

No complicated equations. No tough algorithms.
Just this one graph:

Gmail turns 1 today. And we've always loved a good joke. We know we won't reach infinity, butcheck out what we will do...

Did anyone else notice that the L in the Gmail logo was changed to a 1 (one)?

Hmmm... you're very observant. I wonder if it means anything.

There's definitely a difference between the current logo and http://web.archive.org/web/200405312...p://gmail.com/
