gmail refusing connection: HELP!

Hello,

I'm trying to transfer email from one email account to gmail. When transferring many emails at a time, only a few reach the gmail account. The others get lost. Eventually I get in my initial email account the message

Deferred: Connection refused by
gsmtp57.google.com.
Message could not be delivered for 5 days
Message will be deleted from queue

Anyone has experienced this? What's the solution? This happen with as little as 50 emails at a time, and doesn't happen between other emails account of myself. It is really gmail causing the problem.

I've never seen this problem before. What was your old e-mail service? Maybe your old e-mail service doesn't like Gmail.

Gmail might think you're using it as an online storage drive, which it isn't intended to be used for. Some restrictions may therefore be in place.
