Recent Problems with Gmail

I have used Gmail for some time and have been very satisfied. However, I am currently finding it very slow and frustrating to open mail and often the system locks and Windows task manager says that it is not responding. I then have to come out of Gmail and then back in again. A very time-consuming exercise. Has anyone else experienced this and most important, how do I get my normal, efficient service back.

It is not my internet as I am getting 8mbs download speed and my laptop is top of the range.

There might be a possibility that Google's System might be under upgradation for gmail service. But it will be alright soon....

Google's services were a bit slow from past couple of days but now its all working fine!
