gmail / thunderbird / 2 email accounts help!!

Hi everyone,

Before i start i want to wish you all a merry Christmas!!

basically i am really confused, i am a gmail user and use it for my personal email - which is great and works fine...

But..... i want to use a new gmail account ive set up for work and operate it through thunderbird so i separate work from play.

but to make it even more confusing i want to make it look like im sending it from my actual work account email (that i got with work) when i send it through the gmail work account in thunderbird!!

i would just use my work email address but when i try and send bulk email it thinks its spam (there is greylisting on our server and i have to use imap and there is apprently with that and exchange server or something) so the administrator said to do it through gmail and just make it look like your sending through the work one....

It would be so good if it looked like it was just my existing work email everyone has, so they reply back to it but it all goes through the gmail work account in thunderbird

i am so confused can anyone help!!?? its frustrating being a noob!

oh just one more thing

i did manage to set up the gmail work email in thunderbird and i can send/receive from it, but i have 2 separate accounts gmail work and existing work and they dont sync together at the mo!

ive managed to get it to send emails via thunderbird from my gmail account looking like its my work account, when they reply it goes to my work account address again (which i want) but i have to go on to the exchange server to check them is there anyway that gmail could control the receiving of my work account as well?

I really would appreciate any help, ive tried to be patient in waiting for reply!
