automatic forwarding to another Gmail-adress

I have several Gmail adresses, and I assumed that I could automaticly forward all massages to one account. As Gmail provides this possibility!
This is not possible with me.
Anybody a solution.? Thanks.

How is it not possible? All you need to do is go into settings on each of the accounts and set them to automatically forward the messages to one account. But then...what is the point of having multiple Gmail addresses anymore with the Infinity+1 plan? You should just tell everybody that you don't mind being e-mailed by that you use that one particular Gmail address.

DrakeWurrum you should do some testing before you complain and say why cant it be done, ridgeback I have tested it out for you and have came to the following conclusions:

a@email.com is the main email address and it is forwarding email to b@gmail.com.

if a@gmail.com sends an email to a@gmail.com the email will not be forwarded to b@gmail.com

if b@gmail.com sends an email to a@gmail.com the email will not be forwarded to b@gmail.com

if c@gmail.com sends an email to a@gmail.com the email will be forwarded to b@gmail.com

if d@someotheremail.com sends an email to a@gmail.com the email will be forwarded to b@gmail.com

Hope you understand this, basically gmail will only forward your emails if the sender is you sending it to yourself or it is not the email address in the forward it to box.

Well, maybe if you'd been a little more specific so I could understand exactly what the problem is...I had very little to go on here. I thought you meant to have all incoming mail be automatically forwarded to another. Are you trying to do something else?

If you're trying to transfer all e-mail currently in your Gmail accounts on to one account, then the only way to do that is to do that is to go to each e-mail and forward it to the Gmail account you want to use one by one.

As for forwarding all incoming e-mail at one g-mail account to another g-mail account -- it works fine -- I just tested it...

If you are looking at all current mail in one Gmail account to another you might try using the pop access and sync it with an e-mail client (i.e. outlook, netscape, etc.) make sure the e-mail file in the client is in mbox format (.pst will have to be converted) then import it to Gmail using several tools you can find simply by googling "transfer mail to Gmail" or wording to that affect...

Hope this helps -- I was able to transfer two years of outlook e-mail by converting to mbox format and importing with a tool from Mark Lyons Page -- of course I did this sometime back...

more specific.

OK, let me try to explain again:

I (we)have: a@gmail.com, b@gmail.com and c@gmail.com. etc.

I want to use c@gmail.com as head-account.
I instructed a and b to automaticly forward every incoming mail to c.
So we dont have to check every account, wich are 25. But just one.
(we are a group of 25 going on a world-trip)
This seems not possible!?.

Well sorry, but if you read my topic properly, you see that this is NOT possible!
For example if c@xxmail.com sends an email to a@gmail.com the email will NOT be forwarded to b@gmail.com. I have tested this 50 times with 25 different accounts!!
So let me do my thing and leave the answers to people who do know!

Yes I did read your post properly, I was just suggesting to you that is nice and polite if you reply and give them some thanks to the last person who replied to you and tried to help.

I have no idea why it does not work for you, have you tried forwarding other email address, if you can still not get it to work I suggest you contact gmail and see if they can help.

Thank you
