Cannot send using outlook 2003

I configured my gmail account with outlook 2003 but I can only receive message to my outlook...cannot send.. I checked everything mode than 5 times and all are fine..

any idea why?

re-check your SMTP server number is..465.?

Yes, everything is correct... sending timed-out...

its workig with outlook express 6 but not with microsoft outlook..

What you get the error message?

1. Check these important settings:SMTP port number: 25, 465, or 587. or Change the outgoing server to smtp.googlemail.com
or may be
2.have a firewall blocking the connection? Email virus checking? Popup Blocker? Temporarily disable them.(my Zone alarm was not allowed all server mails.)
or may be
3.update Outlook to latest configuration.2003 should have SP2.
or may be
4.your ISP may be blocking Gmail server.Use your ISP SMTP server.(my ISP was blocked all of SMTP servers)
