URGENT: Gmail chat auto adding deleted user

I have completely deleted a specific user that I used to chat with from my contacts, but when I am logged into gmail, and that user happens to login to their gmail, their name is automatically re-adding to my gmail chat. I know for a fact I deleted that user completely. Why is this happening and how do I stop it. I have tested it with other contacts and they do not show up once they are deleted. Only this user is showing up after deletion.

HELP!! This person is harassing me and I need to get them off my chat.

block messages from certain senders: https://mail.google.com/support/bin/...=general_spam3

or you can block the contacts: Blocking contacts

you can use gmail without chat function..
https://gmail.google.com/gmail/?nochat
for chatting use online chat room.,like as meebo - online web IM for AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Google Talk messengers
