HELP: How to send a backup file in Gmail

Hi all:

I am attempting to send a gz. backup file of my site to the webmaster in Gmail after leaving a hosting co that was always down.

When I click on send - it shows "still working" for the longest time. Is there an easier way or do I have to sit there and wait (the longest I've waited before I gave up was 20 minutes - and yes I have a cable connection) until it shows "sent".

Can anyone tell me if I'm doing something wrong or there is an easier way.

Meanwhile, I appreciate any advice. This is my first posting on the Board. My list of "firsts" keeps growing but then knowledge always keeps you growing.

Unhappy

Thank you but i don't want to backup Gmail.

I want to send a .gz backup file of my website through Gmail.

Is there another program I can use to do that? Someone mentioned Filezilla

Great Links ugly cat... It really helps a lot, although it has a long process compared to Gspace.
