Google Account and Blogger.com log in issues

Recently Google required a gmail account to access all their services. So I changed from a non-gmail account to the Google e-mail and have no problems with accessing anything including Adsense and webmaster tools.

Today I registered for Google Analytics. When I placed the code and hit save I got an error but got around it by refreshing the page. Fine.

After placing the code in my site using my non-Google account, I went back to webmaster tools and found I needed to verify my site again.

I realized the problem was I login to blogger with a non-gmail account which works fine but not with Google Analytics. They obviously require the Google access e-mail account.

I removed the code for Google Analytics from my site and the verification in my tools checks out fine now.

I decided to try to change my blogger account email over to Gmail and was sent round and round until I just said forget and will continue to use my non-Google email to log in to blogger. Its not worth the hassle.

Any ideas of how to migrate the blogger account into Google account email to access blogs without being sent running around to blogger forums to find the answer?

Their system for migrating is full of gliches and uncharted territory.
