Will I be marked as spammer?
Hello guys
I were looking for answer of my questions on gmail and I found this forum. and this is my first post here. and now my question: I want to use a gmail pop3 account for broadcasting news to many registered subscribers. I will ask my subscribers to add my gmail address to their address book to avoid ranking my emails as spam. Anyhow, I will send many emails each day to a big list of subscribers. Is this possible that my account is blocked? Thanks |

Through Gmail.com you are limited to 500 messages per day. Through a desktop client via SMTP I have heard a range of 100 to 200 per day.
I'm not sure what your idea of a large list is but there you go. |

It doesn't have anything to do with filters. If you hit the limit you get an error that says "send quota exceeded" and you can't send any more messages for that day. If you hit the quota enough times you get locked out.

Nope, won't do you any good. You have to wait until the time limit passes and you are able to send again. If you have hit the limit enough times and have your account disabled because of it, THEN you contact Google.

Thanks
And sorry for being absent all these days, this was first time I received an email alert. My project consists of sending email alerts to many subscribers. It's very probable to hit the limit of 500. I wonder, having many BCCs in one email is counted one email totally or is counted one email for each recipient. How about reading pop3? is there any limit for asking number of unread emails inbox from pop.gmail.com? for example, subscribers refresh each 30 seconds? and which other service do you recommend for me instead of Gmail? I selected gmail because mail delivery from gmail to gmail is really fast. best regards Last edited by ARFX; 04-15-2008 at 07:47 PM. |
